When culinary school right out of high school didn't pan out financially, sarah decided to attend school to pursue the business end of things and continue baking for friends and family in her free time.
a Husband and two kids later, Sarah found herself as a stay-at-home-mom with nap time to spare. She began offering custom cakes and cupcakes on facebook until a kitchen job opened at her son's school and it piqued her interest.
Less than a year later, she had become the food services director for the school, preparing 100s of meals for hungry students each day. Although this job was deeply fulfilling, her vegan diet and love for baked goods continued to pull her in a different direction.
After five years as a food services director, an emergency at her in-laws' business pulled sarah out of the kitchen. This career change allowed much more time for baking, and her spark was reignited.
Family crisis averted, she has now been able to focus all of her time on baking. Blush Riot Bakery was born, as was the plan for delivering baked goods straight to the people who want them.
What's next? Hopefully a food truck, large events, and more ways to get delicious treats into the hands of everyone! In the mean time, people can sign up for text alerts about delivery times, as well request custom orders any time.
